The country’s first person infected with the green fungus was taken to a hospital in Mumbai for treatment.
The 2nd wave of the Corona in India caused severe damage. As a result, co-morbidities began to appear. The incidence of black fungus began to increase. The infection is easily spread to people with corona infection. A drug called amphotericin was used to treat this. This was followed by a few cases of white fungus. It is said by doctors to be more dangerous than the effects of black fungus. Later yellow fever was also diagnosed. The fungus mainly affects people with comorbidities such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
Vishal, 34, who was treated at Aravindho Hospital in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, has been diagnosed with green fungus. Having been receiving treatment for the past one and a half months, he has suffered 90 percent lung damage. The fever did not subside so Dr. Ravi Dhosi, head of the Sri Aravindho Institute of Medical Sciences, tested black fungus on suspicion. He was diagnosed with green fungal infections.
This is completely different from black fungal disease. This has been confirmed by Apurva Tiwari, District Data Manager, Indore City Health Department. It is noteworthy that this is the first time in the country that this vulnerability has been detected.
After the last one and a half months of treatment, the patient developed different symptoms. His fever did not drop below 103 degrees. There has been no improvement in health. Following this, he was flown to Mumbai for treatment.
