The Koo app has been approved following a ban on Twitter in Nigeria.
Twitter, a popular social networking site, was banned in Nigeria a few days ago. The president commented on Twitter that action would be taken against the separatists. That post was deleted by the Twitter administration.
Following this, Twitter was banned by the Nigerian government. The Koo app created in India as an alternative to Twitter tried to take advantage of the opportunity in Nigeria. In this case, the Nigerian government has approved the Koo app.
“Koo services have been launched in Nigeria,” said Aprameya Radhakrishna, CEO of Koo. We have also decided to integrate Nigerian local languages into the Google app. ”
He assured that the service would be provided in any country other than Nigeria and would be subject to the laws of that country.
About 60 lakh users are currently using the Koo site. In addition, Tiger Global has invested Rs 218 crore in the Koo site.
